Something To Be Proud Of

For 15 years the Fort Frances Canadian Bass Championship has ran here in our community. The event has seen its peaks and valleys, and like any long standing event over time opinions are formed on the impact and excitement of the said event. But what was very evident after talking to numerous anglers here during the 2009 Fort Frances Canadian Bass Championship is that the volunteers of the event and the people of this community have something to be very proud of.

Oops I did it again! Thrun and Moynagh style

Deja Vu? No, Joe Thrun and Jim Moynagh really did it again! For the third year in a row the duo won the Fort Frances Canadian Bass Championship.

Locals Crack Top 10

Local Fishermen Bryan Gustafson and Mike Adams (both from Fort Frances) finished 10th after day 1 weigh ins at the Fort Frances Canadian Bass Championship with 17.13 pounds. We caught up with Bryan, who is only an impressive 20 years old, to chat about this tournament and his fishing season so far. We should also note another local fishermen, Andrew Perrault finished 6th with 17.59 pounds after day 1 with partner Jeremiah Gardner from Eagle Lake, Ontario.
